UK government's Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) scheme provides free funding for homeowners to replace inefficient heating systems and install eco improvements but it wasn't necessarily easy or obvious who qualified.
Simplifying the process, My Eco Move was created to assess homeowners' eligibility through a quick survey, run a proprietary ECO4 assessment to determine funding potential, and then connect homeowners with certified installers to ensure proper implementation.
We wanted to experience the end to end delivery first hand. Working with homeowners, installers, surveyors, and managing agents, we quickly saw the challenges posed by complex compliance requirements and the bureaucratic nature of the industry. We recognised significant obstacles in delivering funded solutions and getting paid, mainly due to outdated, time-consuming processes.
Leveraging industry expertise, lived experience, and innovative thinking, we designed EcoBot, an AI-powered pocket tool to demystify and streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and empower businesses to successfully execute retrofit projects with ease. Proven in action, EcoBot enables us to deliver 100 GBIS projects and 18 ECO4 projects per month with only one staff member.
